Many organisations achieve Lean success in pockets but struggle to scale a true culture of improvement and innovation. The issue is rarely capability - it is the lack of alignment between purpose, people, and how change is led.


This session introduces 21st Century Lean, called Purposeful Lean, which integrates continuous improvement (Kaizen), radical transformation (Kaikaku) and breakthrough innovation (Kakushin) into a single, coherent system through Purposeful Governance.


By aligning decisions around purpose, people, place and planet - and applying practical tools such as Purposeful Decision Filters - organisations can connect daily improvement, step-change transformation and game-changing innovation in a way that scales across teams and functions.


The session will show how organisations increase people engagement, remove barriers to innovation, and create sustained improvement by making change people-powered in the broadest sense, with AI used to support - not replace - human capability.
