What would a Purposeful Mayor do?

For those unsure how to answer this question a contemporary example can now be found in New York City in Mayor Zohran Mamdani. I strongly recommend listening to his full inaugural address (25 min).

At its core, it is a call to action - one that invites Purposeful Citizens, Purposeful Practitioners and Purposeful Leaders to come together and collectively co-create a 'Purposeful New York': a city that genuinely serves all 'New Yorkers'.

The speech signals the emergence of Purposeful Governance and a cross-generational Purposeful Movement - one that restores hope and commits to building a thriving, flourishing future for everyone. It shows how Purposeful Leadership can mobilise people across all ages, backgrounds, and sectors around purpose and a shared vision of the common good.

This is the same spirit the Good Turns Foundation is working to cultivate here in Britain: helping to lay the foundations for Purposeful Communities, Purposeful Enterprise, Purposeful Towns, Purposeful Cities, and a 'Purposeful Britain'. More on this in the coming months.
